Bern Balfe Architect

Bern Balfe Architect is a sole practitioner who works in a converted steading building in South Central Edinburgh. She has a collaborative approach to Building Design and an interest in sustainability. She has been in sole practice since 2001 and has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
Collaborations are on a project-by-project basis.
Successful work so far has been based around shared values which include: an interest in practical design; a belief that ideas are for sharing; an enthusiasm for making things; an awareness of our responsibility to use materials and energy wisely, and an anti-monumental approach to problem-solving.
