Plea 2017 Edinburgh

EAA Members are invited to join PLEA on the 2nd – the 5th July 2017 for the 33rd PLEA Conference.

Hosted by the Schools of Architecture and Architectural Engineering in Scotland with Edinburgh City Council and the Scottish Government, the Conference starts with a party in Edinburgh Castle hosted by Historic Environment Scotland. The venues are all from the great Scottish ‘Enlightenment’ period (late 18th Century) but the ideas in the conference will all be forward facing: How can we - and must we in the built environment - Design to Thrive and lay Foundations for a Better Future in difficult and rapidly changing times.

A stellar assembly of some of the brightest names on the planet in their fields will join us to share experiences on ways forward and debate the relative merits and pitfalls of alternative futures and solutions.

Please submit your own abstract now and we hope to also use the event to showcase great Scottish Design - We look forward to welcoming you then to one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Best wishes,
